Kondo Research Institute is a private research institute founded to be a research institute of a new kind — one for the age of the internet and AI.

The world is entering a period of profound change brought by the internet and AI, and what is changing most of all is the nature of research and intellectual work itself. The internet connected the world’s information space; now AI is transforming the intellectual work that takes place within it. The institute takes as its theme the question of how to build a place where independent researchers can ask their own questions freely — redefining the role of the human being in the age of AI, while keeping intellectual discussion between people at its center. Our research centers on Existence Theory and information theory.

Dr. Hidekazu Kondo

Researcher and entrepreneur. Based in Tokyo. Starting from distributed computing research, expanded through quantum computing into theoretical physics, mathematics, cryptography, and AI. Proposed Existence Theory as a theoretical framework unifying these domains. Driven by the motto of making society better through technology, also committed to bringing research into real-world products, founding multiple technology companies.
